20160609_114046-1Smoothies are perfect for breakfast when youre on the go. The fruit for this breakfast smoothie can be prepped ahead so all you have to do is add the ingredients to your blender, mix, and enjoy! The oatmeal helps keep you full and the fruit will provide the energy you need to start your day off right.

I am not a night person, but I am definitely not a wake up before 8 am person either. When I work on Saturdays, I have to wake up before 6 am to be at work by 7 am. I like to sleep as long as I possibly can and just eat something quickly so I am not late. I hate preparing breakfast on these days. Usually, I grab a granola bar which is not very filling and I am often hungry soon after I get to work.

When I was younger, I used to love just blending milk and bananas together to get a sweet, frothy drink. Since I received the strawberries in my CSA this week, what better way to enjoy them than by adding them to my favorite smoothie?

To prepare the fruit beforehand, simply slice the banana and strawberries and place in a sealed bag in your freezer. Freezing the fruit also gives your smoothie a smooth, cool texture and flavor.

No longer will you have to rely on boring granola bars that leave you hungry shortly after eating them. Take five minutes, blend this healthy smoothie and youll be ready to start your day right, no matter how early you have to wake up.

Note: The cookie in the picture is a clean eating sugar free sugar cookie made with almond flour and honey. It didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted, but as soon as I’ve got the recipe correct, I will post it.
