Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers
Hi all! I hope you’re doing well. I haven’t been leaving my house except to go to work. It’s actually very nice being a hermit. Anyway, my grandparents have moved to assisted living, but my grandpa left some plants in his garden. My dad and I helped ourselves to some jalapenos. Is it too hot out for bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers? Eh, who cares.
The following is how I made today’s bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers.
- Put cream cheese in a bowl. Throw in a random amount of cheese.
- Slice the jalapenos in half and cut out the seeds. Think to yourself that maybe the jalapenos aren’t very spicy. Take a bite of a piece. Nope, they are very spicy.
- Wash hands.
- Get the bacon out of the fridge. Cut 5 slices in half. Well, roughly in half. Whatever.
- Wash hands.
- Put the cream cheese in the microwave since it’s still not soft. Melt the cheese you threw in. Oh well, it’s fine.
- Scoop an even amount of cream cheese into each jalapeno half. That’s even, right?
- Wash hands.
- Touch the bacon. Get out toothpicks. Oops. Do that the other way around.
- Wrap the jalapenos with half a slice of bacon and use a toothpick to secure.
- Wash hands.
- Throw out the rest of the toothpicks cos you touched them after touching raw bacon.
- Put the jalapeno poppers in the oven for 20 minutes.
- Don’t let them cool and eat a green one. Yum, very tasty. Try a red one. Learn quickly that the red ones are the spiciest.
But wait, how about a close up?
Delicious! Okay, so here’s the actual recipe for bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers. Let me know how you like to make yours!
